Privacy Policy

Overview
This policy explains how YouthPerformance (“YP,” “we”) handles information on the public website at youthperformance.com. YouthPerformance builds personalized six-week training plans for youth athletes. We serve young people, so we keep data collection minimal and consider any information about a minor sensitive.
This policy covers youthperformance.com, including the public pages, YP Fundamentals, the Passport preview, and the current training experience. Separately operated coach, commerce, or authenticated-app services may carry additional privacy notices if and when those services launch.
Information we collect
You can browse this website without giving us any personal information. YP Fundamentals does not ask for a name, email address, payment-card information, or free-text health information.
- Plan selections — sport, age band, training goal, schedule, session length, equipment, athlete level, archetype and quiz selections. When the plan service is available, these selections are sent to the YouthPerformance API to build the plan.
- Choices that stay in the browser — whether you identify as a parent or athlete and whether you are interested in coach support are used only to shape the flow on your screen; they stay in browser memory and are discarded when you leave the page.
- Basic technical data — our hosting and delivery providers process standard request information (such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, and request time) used to operate and secure the site.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not currently operate product analytics on this service. Before enabling any analytics, we will update this policy, identify the provider and the information involved, configure appropriate privacy controls, and obtain parental consent where required.
The training and Passport experiences store limited information on your device so progress and preferences survive a reload: a pseudonymous plan identifier, the plan title and snapshot time, completed session and drill identifiers with their completed or skipped status, a random offline-sync identifier, a challenge score and its unit when entered, Passport progress, a plan-scoped access capability and its expiry, and your sound, haptics, and reduced-motion preferences. We do not place names, email addresses, or intake answers in browser storage. When server-backed training is enabled and you are online, your completed or skipped progress and any challenge score you enter are sent to the YouthPerformance API. The “Not my device” control in Settings removes plan, progress, and access data from the device; the three interface preferences remain until you clear browser site data.
Children’s privacy
YP Fundamentals is a fixed 6-week program. The current site does not ask any user for a name, email address, or other contact information. Accounts, parent contact collection, and identifiable child Athlete Passports are not part of this launch. We will not enable those features until the required direct notice, parent-verification, consent, and parental-rights controls have been reviewed and approved.
Although this launch avoids direct identity and contact fields, technical request data and the pseudonymous plan and progress identifiers described above may still be personal information under children’s privacy law. We use them only to provide, secure, and maintain the requested service—not for advertising or tracking people across services.
We do not operate public leaderboards displaying athlete names. Downloadable share cards are generated on your device, are not uploaded by the site, and omit the athlete’s handle and activity dates. Product examples shown on this site use fictional or de-identified references. If you believe a child’s personal information was collected without required consent, contact us at privacy@youthperformance.com so we can investigate and take the deletion steps required by law.
How we use information
We use plan selections, including the age band used to tune training difficulty, to request and display a training plan. We use session and drill progress, challenge scores, and the related plan identifier to save progress, resume training, and calculate private progress features such as XP, badges, streaks, and history. We use technical request information to operate, troubleshoot, and secure the service. The current site does not create accounts or send plans by email. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who receives information
JING LLC operates the service and its API. We use Vercel to host and deliver the website and Cloudflare Stream to deliver training video after you deliberately interact with a video player. These service providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time only as needed to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
We do not sell children’s personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or disclose it beyond service providers that are integral to operating the service. If that practice changes, we will update this notice and obtain separate parental consent where required before the disclosure begins.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the service. Our launch gate requires a designated security coordinator, a written information-security program, at least annual risk assessment, access controls, incident review, and written security assurances from service providers that handle children’s data before server-backed child-data collection is enabled. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deletion
On-device plan and progress data remains until you select “Not my device,” switch plans, or clear browser site data; the sound, haptics, and reduced-motion preferences remain until you clear browser site data. When server-backed training is enabled, we retain plan and training-progress records for 12 months after the plan’s last training activity and then delete or de-identify them; technical and security logs are retained for 90 days; backup copies roll off within 35 days. We honor verified parental deletion requests within 30 days. We retain information longer only where the law requires it. We do not retain children’s personal information indefinitely.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to review, correct, or delete information connected to a plan, to revoke any consent you have given, and to refuse further collection or use. Parents and guardians can make these requests on behalf of their athlete. Email privacy@youthperformance.comwith enough information for us to locate the relevant plan; before providing access or acting on a request, we take reasonable steps to verify that the requester is the athlete’s parent or guardian. The “Not my device” control deletes plan and progress data stored on that device; it does not by itself delete server records.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. If a change materially affects the collection, use, or disclosure of a child’s personal information, we will provide direct notice to the parent or guardian and obtain new consent where required before applying the change.
