Pick-and-Roll

A two-player action where one player sets a screen for the ball-handler, then rolls to the basket as the defense reacts.

Example ]

The guard uses the big's screen, turns the corner, and hits the roller cutting to the rim.

Common mistake ]

Leaving too early — the ball-handler brushes the screen before the defender is held, so no advantage is created.

Set up your defender, use the screen shoulder-to-shoulder, then read the big.
